Title: Alien Egg
Name: Matthias Zabiegly
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D, Digital Fusion
Just a fun personal project that I did to waste an afternoon. Approximately four hours of work.
There's not much of an idea behind this. Just some generic alien that chose to lay its egg in my backyard.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with a generic alien egg in the backyard! :)
Love it! Clever, unusual and well done!

Hi, You could improve this a great deal by making use of blurry transparency and more post work to create a more diffuse effect within the egg, suggesting rather than explicitely stating the form within.
Possibly work more on the lighting too, right now it looks like it's still only lit with a single source light on the alien, it's not badly positioned, but that's fairly dull and doesn't totally match in the with environment, consider making use of some more lights to subtly bring the form out and situate it a bit more (the alien should recieve more diffuse light inside with really little or no specular effect).
Good luck!

I thought the stork brought them? :D
Seriously though, its a nice concept but The alien looks a bit flat. Did you model it or just composite a 2d image?
