Hello felow painters!

I jut started having this problem.
When I open a photoshop file ( only 39 megs big ) in painter, I get the message "insufficient memory to complete this operation" and it won't open the file.

I have plenty of Ram and hard drive memory. It was working ok before.
What do you think is causing this? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I ALSO TRIED THIS:
I opened the file in Photoshop and did a "Save As". Gave it another name and and tried to open the new one in Painter.
I also Repaired Permissions and ran the monthly scripts on my Mac, but I am still having the same problem.

I am on a Mac G5 dual with 1.5GB of ram and 50 gigs available on my main drive.

On the off chance this is the cause...

Sometimes, when people have problems opening a file in Painter, it turns out the file is too far down in the folder structure.

The solution is to move the file up closer to the root directory.

For instance, if the file is currently located here:

folder
...folder
.....folder
.......folder (containing file)

Move the file up to either:

folder (containing file)

OR....

folder
....folder (containing file)

Then try to open it in Painter.

Good luck!
