Hi there!
im working on a project where I use volume light. The light pass through a tube, and in the end of this tube there is a lens. The light need pass through the lens. Then I added a transparent raytrace material to the lens object, but the volume light effect is not produced. It's like the lens obstruct the pass of the light. I cannot see the light cone created by the volume light, because the light, apparently cannot pass through the lens object.
The material is OK (transparent raytrace), and I don't know how to solve this problem.

HEEEELP!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure...but assuming that what you want is
to generate caustics...
...Max default renderer doesn't support the caustic generation.

plus, volume light that passes through glass object is not realistic,
I think.

What I want is that the lightcone will be visible crossing through a lens. Got it? It's difficult to see without a picture but try to imagine that.
For example, how do you make light passing through a glass window? it's the same. I want that you can see the rays.

Here's an image from Ferenc J. Haraszti that reproduces a similar effect, but through a glass window.

Can you help me?

I say fake it.
Let the volume light ignore the glas object stuff entirely, make the effect using much simpler proxy-objects for the wood frame stuff, or skip geometry entirely and use a map to control the volume rays.
