If I create a simple QuadPatch and convert it to and Editable Patch, I can rotate a vertex or move a handle and the Edges bend to the influence of the handles. If I create a closed figure of four (#bezier #curve) splines with MaxScript and convert it to an Editable Patch, the Patch disappears, but the subobjectLevel = 1 shows the vertexes are present. Alternately, if I create the same figure with four (#smooth #line) splines with MaxScript and convert it to an Editable Patch I get the Patch Surface, but rotating the vertexes or moving the handles does nothing to the shape of the straight edges. I can't get the behavior of the manual interface with MaxScript - ideas? Basically, I need a visible MaxScript-built patch surface (or other surface) created from my own well-positioned spline vertexes and handles (not the default square blocks of the raw QuadPatch or TriPatch).
