Awesome, I love it! Specially the part when he shifts his feet over.
2 minor suggestions you could try out. The ball hits him and he snaps verticle, you could arc his back in the middle pose on the way up (like you have on the way down). It might make the straight board like verticle pose pop out. And when he drops his tail you could add a little bounce to settle. Having his tail dangling around in a subtle way would be a nice constrast to when it snaps into those poses of effort.
Great timing.

For the last push he makes before his head pops out, instead of having it pop out immediately perhaps you could have him pushing at full extension (legs almost straight, on tiptoes, tail extended), add maybe a second or two of a moving hold w/the knees/tail trembling, then the pop out. The rest reads pretty well, I think...

I like the "snappiness" of the animation. I think some of the other crits are good and getting to a good point.
I think that the timing is good but you could have some more dynamic holds and anticipations.
For example:
When the character is seeing the ball coming toward it this is a good time for squash anticipation. This will allow for a maximum visual reward on the hit and subsequent stretch. A possible method of getting in to this squash position is to have the character trying to get out of the way but is unable to get enough traction to move. Get the silhouette as compacted as you can and then WHAMMO. The ball hits.
Just my personal tastes coming through in the crit.
Great job.

I like evry thing about it!
The character you put into the character is mexellent!
The only thing that caught my eye was the breif flight he take after freeing his head from the ground. The hight and distance isnt exaggerated enough, mainly the hight. And when he is returning to the ground, after the apex of the flight, it doesnt feel like he is anticipating the fall back to the ground. Some squash and stretch and more of an arc in the flight would get rid of that. and maybe a little stretch in his body before the ground lets go of his head.
Very impressive though!!

Very cool. Good choice regarding the timing of the movements.
We are just waiting for the next version of the animations! :)

Hey mang great progress!
one thing though, the last tug, that frees him from the ground happens to quickly. try a pause for about 30 frames, maybe less like 20, to accent the comical/toony nature of the animation. this concept falls under staging/anticipation. you want to prepair the audience for the next action. so you stage it by letting the audience know that he is stuck ( with the pause) and then direct their attension by showing that he is building up energy(maybe with some stretch in his neck) so they expect him to come shooting out. for the stretch, try a lattice or some other form of deformer. you might be abel to get away with a bone translation(not rotation) in the direction you want the stretch.
sorry if this comes to late to not make it into final render.
Looks Fun and happy though.
peice out mang!

Just two critiques since NoktUp mentioned what I was going to point out anyways.
1) The eyes are too slow when the squirrel sees the incoming ball. Perhaps have the eyes roll back and then blink, the eyes are focused on the ball. Eyes don't wander like that, they focus on certain things.
2) The last camera pan with the settle back isn't working. Just have the camera still, the squirrel starts to exit the frame and then let the fall to the ground lead the camera over to the landing and it'll look better.
Overall tho, looks great. I like the tail animation especially.
Cheers.

Thanks guys, I was all ready to render, but I changed my mind...
It has been mentioned that he should pause before he flys out twice.
So thats enough to let me know it should be changed.
Ill update all that and then post the render.
Thanks guys, and thanks for the camera crit mangaka604.
I really didn't know what to do with the camera.
Im gonna do what you said.
