View Full Version : Cloth_attaching to constraints
mikemarmita 03-07-2007, 07:28 PM I have been trying to model a curtain constrained to a rod. I cant figure out how to constrain the cloth to the rod. I tried going to the sub-object and grouped obj but i cant figure out how to assign constraints. Please help anyone. Thanks.

Hi, I'm not near a copy of Max at the mo' so my recollection is a bit hazy, but there is a function in Cloth where you can "group" a selection of verts. Once the group is defined and named you can assign a property to it, in your case something called "surface" - or words to that effect. In the surface parameters you'll be able to assign the rod mesh. All these things should be in the Cloth rollout. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much. it was very useful :) Is there any tutorial cds or links that you can suggest for cloth. there is one in gnomon but it is for maya. m not sure wether I can use some of the infos there. :)
