View Full Version : Constraint problems with mirrored axis

Hi,

Using the new joint system of Cinema 4D R10 I have encountered this problem:

I have found that using the simetry page of the joints to automatically update the other side of a rig also mirror the axis. This can be seen in the first attachment.

At first this is not a problem, but when I add a constraint tag (PSR) to a joint with a mirrored axis it doesn't get aligned properly. This can be seen in second attachment. It's a bug or there is something that I am not taking into account? I have spent a lot of hours, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I managed to solve it by myself. The solution was to use as target a null object with the "default" axis (i.e. not mirrored).

I used to like the user interface of Cinema 4d, but as I spend time with the program, I begin to discover more a more oddities that make it not as user friendly as I thought it was.
