View Full Version : Really messed up textures?

Hi,

Whenever I try to render out a displacement map and or normal map the texture always appears all messed up and like has tons of lines cutting all over? I unwrapped everything in max fine with no overlapping geometry, I checked this and its in the 0,1 space and there isnt any flipped polys? I was trying to add some nice melted wax to a cylinder candle I made for my scene. I ended up just exporting the high res mesh to max for now, but I still wnat to know whats up? This is what it usually looks like, but even worse?

At first glance it looks like your UV's crossed the 0,1 space. Make sure all of your UV verts are inside the border. If you're still having problems after that post a screenshot of your UV layout.

Alright.. ill try that and see what happens, or check it out I mean. That program sure likes to crash alot and freeze for me though....grrr.

I have version 1.0. Does the upgrade or newer one fix those problems?
