For the purpose of environment map, I am looking for a space cube texture.
Do you know where I can get one?

Well, a cube texture is actually six textures, each one for each side of the cube.

The six textures are seamless relative to the cube.
An environment map, is a cube texture, used as the reflection colors on the object.
As if the environment is reflected on the object, but it is only a texture, not actually ray traced reflection.

I might also want a texture that is not free for this matter.
I could also use a really big space texture and I will turn it into a cube texture.
An example of a good space texture(but not big enough) would be:

Here is my attempt at creating a space environment map.

How do I make the stars glow the right way?
So it wont be darker in the center?
I have set the FOV of the camera to 90, would that make a correct enviroment map if I render each of the 6 sides of the cube texture?
It seems some stars are distorted by perspective on the edge of the image, and that should not happen.
How do I fix it?

You didn't say what app or how you are creating your texture.

If you want to do it for free, Terragen might be able to do it, although it does seem geared toward landscapes:

But if you do a search for 'terragen starfields nebula' on Google, you might find some examples.

I am sorry, I am using lightwave9.

I had a problem rendering 10000 little spheres, obviously it made my computer very slow.
So I wanted to render 1 point polygons.
How do I render 1 point polygons? I am unable to do so.
