View Full Version : V-ray ambient occlusion is it possible?
octopus7 03-06-2007, 09:37 PM I know that there's probably a really easy way to do this but can you make an ambient occlusion pass with V-ray? I know how to do it with Mental Ray. But could somebody please tell me how to set up a scene for doing an AO pass with V-ray.
Cheers

Thank you so much for this, it was so obvious if only I had looked properly. Thanks again:thumbsup:

make a 100% self illuminated standard white material. drop in the diffuse, then use as on override material in the vray global. crank up the subvis on the dirt shader to 24 + and put the distribution to 1 for true AO look.
