Thanks!
Yes the sound isnt good until now
and the spoken sound as well (I spoke it myselfe, just as a reference)
I will replace all with professional recorded sounds when I am
done with the anims.

excellent work sormann.. you´re the best!
only thing that bothers me is that you don´t update your homepage.. I visit it almost every day in hope that you´ve updated it with some new awsome pics or animation.

damn, i've just seen this one - really great work through and through, everything just works - very high level of quality.. although you're right on the sound, it needs some work. For instance The pigs voice needs a lot more energy to match the insane facial expressions, and it could sound a little crisper overall

Thanks again
Sorry for not updating my homepage but I plan
to create a dedicated ThemePlanet page soon and so
I am holding back the newer stuff to have some new on
the page... ( Ihope you looked on my new page www.sormann3d.com because there is another very old one..)
The voice is really a problem. I spent hours with shouting
the text in my cheesy little microphone (I am glad my neightbours didnt kick my butt) but I am not an actor, so I think I will have to invest some money once I am done with the whole thing, and hire an actor to record the scenes text...

The atmosphere, the expressions... it's simply wonderful. The pig looks so crazed!! I love it!! Especially the way his face stretches when he yells, and those buggy eyes!

Hey sormann

I absolutely love your work, it's gorgeous.

I myself am working on a short film at the moment, and in some respects i have referred to some of your animations and stills for reference.

What i have really struggled with up to this point is figuring out how you texture your characters, especially your pig character. Do u have any texture maps i could check out/and how u made them?

Only crits : Animation is brilliant, always loved the way your characters emote so well. Only problem i have is with the pig character is that his knuckles seem very hard edged, almost skeletal.

On a side note, how did u do your ear setup for the pig?

KEEP IT THE AMAZING WORK DUDE!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

It looks really good. I wish it was longer. Is it really a good idea to do all the animation before recording the final voices? That way the actors you hire will have to say the lines the exact way you said them, which would probably hinder their acting. If you're going to pay for them sometime, you might as well do it now. I'm sure that would work out better.

Hehehe...The crunchy Cheezypoof sounds are well done and as for typewriter sounds....the last time I had it installed, ICQ came with old style typewrter sounds...you might try looking there for reference.
The lighting under the piggy's chin doesn't make sence to me... apart from those minor details ..you have the makings of something I definately want to see :bounce: Please develop somemore

at work we almost always record the voice before animation for the animators, and very often a second time after (dubbing), because with the picture the actor becomes much better...

btw a voice actor is not very expensive...(well except if is quite famous)
the hard stuff is to find a recording studio + ingeneer...

nb : I think everybody was sure it was U shouting... :scream:

thanks
Maybe its better to use a complete vocal recording
as a base
On the othe hand its relativly easy to adjust the facial
expressions..

I remember reading that when they started Shrek, Mike Myers used a diffrent voice at first. When they decided to go with another voice they had to redo the animation because it just didn't go well together anymore. It might not be as easy as just adjusting the facial animation for you. It'd be a shame to have such good animation and characters ruined, or at least lessened of greatness, by this same thing.

Yes of course I would ask the actor to stick as closely as possible to the moode of the anim , so that I just have to adjust the lipsync...anyway I think I will give it a try that way

This is gonna be so awesome!

One question... the framing seems a little close, it's buggin me how he keeps leaning out of the edges of the view. Am I being dumb and that's gonna be fixed later, or is that how it's really going to go?

Hmmm intresting point
Actually its kind of the pigs view... looking at the elephant
maybe I will rotate the camerea accordingly to elephants movements
