These are the rules:

You have 30mn for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).

Here in NZ we dont refer to autumn as fall... so I never thought to do some nice autumnal picture.

I had to do a waterfall :) gaaaaah 30 minutes, I was sweating this one out as the timer was ticking, I went over by 5 so 35 minutes and some of my water is a little crooked

hah, it is interesting to see peoples takes on this subject. I really like the ones that could be read more than one way. I also did a water fall.

pscs2 35ish minutes. Half way through ps crashed, i was really pissed but it left a good shot of the picture so i took a screen shot and saved it to paint then I forced quit photoshop and reloaded the screen shot picture, seemed to have worked. All in all I am really happy with the way this turned out, but any C+C is more than welcome.

I went and changed the levels some and brought up the darks and high lights a bit. I like the second version better. So add 4-5 more minutes on to the first for this one.

Calisto - like your lighting. The hints of green in the image keep the reds balanced.

Wow 30 mins is hardly any time.
I don't know how you guys can create great work in such a small space of time.

I think autumn too.In China the words "一叶知秋" means The falling of one leaf heralds the autumn. 20mins,ps cs.Hope you like it.Thank you.
