i just got a book about frogs and found out that they have the most amazing textures.
so i decided i have to build a frog in max 4.2.
he is not textured yet but i would like to get some critics before i go on the small details and textures.

so what do you think?
any ideas for the small details?

Its a good start dude!! Looks pretty clean.

Some tips

1. His should have proportions, eg. His quads should be alot bigger than his calf muscles, as frogs jump alot

2. I think maybe his head could be a fraction bigger, just a touch

3. His feet are too flat, give them more definition.

wow that was a fast reply!! that's so cool!!
and tanx for the tips
though i didn't really understand your first comment.
when you say quads do you mean the muscles that are above the knee and calf as the muscles below and on the back?

you are right about his foot, i also have a problem with their fingers (the toes) some of them are getting twisted when i apply my mesh the NURMS meshsmooth (but maybe this question should go to the max forum)

anyway i posted a wire shot of him.
do u think he is ready for animation?

Try also to give the froggie some webbed feet.
just my 2 cents =).:wavey:

Yeah, the quads are the section from the waist to the knee on the legs, but on the front.

The calfs are from the knee down to the ankle, but on the back of the leg.

I think when u are comfortable with the model, then hella yeah he is ready for the animation.
