CodeNothing, that is intense! Plus, I didn't expect it so it really made an impact. My favorite so far!

It's good to see you again, calisto. Beautiful sketch you got there.

OMG neatron i love it SOTW from me there
Although a lil crit the right hand guy in the front looks a little unnatrual compared to the rest of the image. Another note how do you get that awesome texture?

picnica thats a cool concept and you got it

there is a lot of good stuff in this one so far, and they are so wide in subject matter

mine is pscs2 about 2 hours, i didnt do it all the way through so i am not sure and C+C would be great. I might go back and paint in detail since i like the composition

ransom thanks, i removed the guy on the right i think you're right, it was throwing the composition off. as for textures i use Barontieris brush pack alot (visit www.barontieri.com) but mostly hard round brush with opacity and flow set to 50% that will give you a natural painted look with broad range of midtones.

I haven't had time to really focus on keeping up with the DSF, but I figured I needed to do something for this topic, since it was my suggestion.

So, here's a pencil sketch I messed with a little in Photoshop CS2.
I forgot to time myself, maybe a 1-2 hours, I really don't know.

Very nice sketches, everyone!

Inspirational as always, Britanny.

Here's my rendition of Scheherazade kindling the king's imagination through one of her many spellbinding stories:

Naetron- Yea, I didnt wan't to go out and say that since these forums do not seem to be heavy on the C+C (which we should change) but, I compleatly agree. The updated version looks much better.

Notice how the two tents on the sides and the third tent in the middle lead your eye into the main character. What i find interesting is that this upside down pyramid is the flipping the structured look of the classical pyramid composition, and it builds a lot of tension. Also, I percieve the man character to be a look out by his body gesture, and the other guy, "Mr. Right, didn't seem to be doing the same action as the scout. Awesome job!!

Those brushes are really nice, I dl-ed them

Nice work everyone!

Well, I was planning to finish this in one go, but life got in the way.
I worked on it in several short bursts, so no telling how much time I spend on it.
But definitely a couple of hours. PainterIX.
