I like it, though, if you tinted the bottom wall a different color, it'd be much better. My eyes aren't what they use to be,so it seems like it blends with the wings. :)

Man, I love your work, but I have to agree, the wall kinda does blend into the wings, but what the heck do I know?

WOW:eek:
tell you what.. i'd love to see this in 3D and even animated!!! that's one awesome character! how are you with your 3D skills?
...i've just noticed one crit, i'm not sure that the 'burning' landscape in the bkground is set far enough back, the colours might need to be toned down slightly to add a bit more depth.. just a thought
other than that, perfect:thumbsup:

its not really a crit....just an artistic suggestion and one of my personal philosophies of painting: Black is an extremely rare color in nature....even shadows have color and depth where as black behaves like anti-color. Have you ever notice in impressionist paintings that they never use black for the shadows? to create the illusion of depth and the behaviour of light....try using color temperature and hues to create the feeling of shadows....i think it would really enhance your pictures to that level that you are seeking ;)
in truth...its only a question of style....cuz i have seen some great paintings that went more for the black scratchboard/engraved look ....they are aware of that...and deliberately exploit using black and strong outlines....

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Daveaustin; I do 3D stuff too, check out my web page for some examples. I sort of alternate between 2D and 3D projects depending on my mood.
Stephen Vyas: you are right about the wall and the wings. I'll put it on my to do list.
Cheers,
