View Full Version : I want Zbrush but.....

Does anyone know if Zbrush works on 64bit windows?!? I've tried to look around and find out but current research suggest no, and I wondered if maybe Zbrush 3 will be....anybody know?

ZBrush 2 64 bit was released a few weeks ago. ZBrush 3 will certainly run on 64 bit XP/Vista.

Are there any major performance boosts by using XP 64 with ZBrush 64? I have a core2 duo extreme right now, and my multithreading benchmark in ZBrush is about 3.5-4.0 depending on if I have things running in the background.. What improvements could I expect to see if I upgraded to XP64 and Z64?

From postings in the forum, users are saying models load and save in nearly half the time. Other than that, I don't know. But with ZB3, you'll be able to push around more polygons faster ontop of the already sick amount that ZB3 will support.
