but shouldn´t the birds body be turned another way? as it is now, the bird's neck is twisted 90° ...

Thanks for the comments and critics :)
I forgot to mention, I just modelled and textured the bird. The original idea of the bird design was not mine. It was originally a 2D image, and I thought it would be fun to create a 3D version of it.
Answer to questions :

I hope so :)
lurifrax - but shouldn´t the birds body be turned another way? as it is now, the bird's neck is twisted 90° ...
You're quite right, but I thought it would be a bit more interesting.
teh fury - haha nice.. make more characters like this..hmm.. the eye should be bigger tho

Animating him would be a challenge since I am still a newbie. Thanks for the feedback Geckopunk83.

You've got something here, I could see an illustrated childrens book with this style of characters being a huge hit.

Very cute bird. I got a cockateil you can borrow if you wanna do another bird. :)
We almost have the same names too!

Now if that design was in vector format, it would make an awesome logo.

Cool bird, as far as animating him, I think you will only need 7 bones at the most, so it shouldn't be that difficult for you.
Your avatar's bust, it give me a headache.:surprised

I'm new to animation. How do I control the whole bird with 7 bones? Can you give me a brief explanation?
Does that include the wing and tail?
Cool, i like the design even its simple, but simple and nice....
:applause:
MORE?!

But note this bird wasn't my idea, I just modelled it.

Nice style on the bird Rukuwa, but I'm afraid that the flashing GIF you use for your icon/avatar is about to cause me to go into an epileptic fit.
My lawyers will be contacting you shortly :)

I like it so much...LOL, so simple and yet so incredably hilarious! I wanna see a flock of them fly with high-pitched screams, and flying into things....LOL, similar to the bird scene in "the core"
Cheers,
