Beveling indivual edgea

sorry thats not possible yet.. one dev. is working on enableing it with some other modeling stuff iirc, but its not possible yet, instead you could select the edges you want to "divide" and push the W-key then select "subdivide"(single gut) or "subdivide Multi"(multi cut).

You can use de Bevel Center script: select the edges and still in Edit Mode go to the menu Mesh >> Scripts >> Bevel Center.
