View Full Version : pmG messiah in PC and Lightwave MAC?
FelixCat 03-01-2007, 07:37 PM Hi
I´m very curious about pmG messiah, it looks a very powerful animation tool and i´m thinking about purchasing it. But, my question... can i use pmG messiah in a windows partition in a new Intel MAC? works smoothly?
And... can i transfer the animation to a Lightwave MAC seamless?
Thanks for any help.

You can transfer the information seemlesly via MDD export or Point Oven Pro.
Then just take your model in LW, click the deform tab, apply MD_Plug and you're done.
Not sure about the Intel chipset thing yet. I will be trying it as soon as my employer updates my machine, which should be in a week or so.
Hope this helps.

FelixCat,
With BootCamp on the IntelMacs, you essentially have two computers in one.
I have a Mac Pro, and Messiah Studio, ZBrush, etc. work at their full potential. No
issue at all.
Regarding transfer of animation, you can check with Newtek if you can get a license for
Windows, so you can use both LW and M:S on the same OS.
The link between LW and M:S is smooth. You can launch M:S from within LW, and it acts like
a plugin, all in realtime, almost.
On the MDD side, M:S comes with its own MDD baker, so you might not require a Point Oven Pro license. Experiment, and see how far you can go.
Overall performance is good and smooth.
Best,
