Hello , this is my first post on the forum.... be Gentle!
I am modeling this character off and on for a couple of weeks.....And have a problem with modeling her hair , its a straight pony tail but im stuck about how to go about it... I will rig it for animation later so id really appreciate a little of your valuable Experience , i am modeling in max but id get it if someone has a technique in any other app.

. I need the model to be able to use her locks as weapons.

Thank you.

attached is the concept drawing.

What kind of character are you making? is it a realistic type of person or a more cartoony one. If it is something for a game or something just model out the shape of it and texture it up then rig it with bones just like you would with any other limb and then you can control her hair to use as weapons. Does this answer your question?
