SplutterFish Upgrade Promotion Offers 30% Off

VENICE, CA, (Feb 28, 2003) – SplutterFish, a high-end 3D rendering software solutions provider, today announced the launch of a limited-time upgrade promotion that allows registered owners of the Cebas finalRender software program to receive 30% off the USMSRP of its award-winning Brazil Rendering System™ v 1.0. The promotion – available for two weeks only from March 3, 2003 through March 15, 2003 – enables Cebas customers who provide proof of ownership of its finalRender software to purchase the Brazil r/s “Artist Bundle” at a reduced price of $799.00.

Brazil r/s is an advanced, fully-integrated rendering suite for Discreet’s top-selling animation software 3ds max and Autodesk VIZ, Autodesk’s visualization solution. Brazil r/s delivers superior image quality, unprecedented control and reliability.

Used by demanding CG professionals at leading production and post production facilities around the world, Brazil r/s is lauded for its comprehensive feature-set and highly-evolved global illumination and ray-tracing engine. It places production-proven technology into the hands of professionals working in the film, broadcast, architectural and product visualization, design engineering, 3D cartoon-style animation and CG research industries.

Brazil’s natural workflow and comprehensive feature-set offers the most advanced lighting/shading/camera tools available to 3dsmax/VIZ artists, including the growing list of Brazil custom shaders like velvet, car paint, wax (sub-surface scattering), skin, and more. In addition, as registered Brazil r/s owners, new customers will have access to the state-of-the-art, highly-controllable Brazil Toon shading system, which is quickly gaining momentum and currently being used worldwide on numerous, high-profile cartoon animation projects.

“SplutterFish is very excited to offer Brazil r/s’ meticulously engineered rendering toolkit at a price to help offset the cost already incurred by finalRender customers,” said Connie Jacobs, chief operating officer at SplutterFish. “They will immediately appreciate Brazil r/s' superior control, exceptional stability and most important, the outstanding image quality. We welcome these artists into the active and fast growing Brazil r/s community, made up of talented and discerning CG artists and studios from around the world."

The Brazil r/s “Artist Bundle” includes licenses for three computers (one Brazil r/s workstation-node license and two render-node licenses). Each node license covers one computer with up to 4 CPU’s.

Brazil r/s uses a convenient floating license at no extra cost that handles license issuance in a multi-computer/multi-user environment. A floating license allows artists access to Brazil r/s from any computer on a local area network up to the number and type purchased.

The Brazil r/s “Artist Bundle” promotion is available directly through SplutterFish and its worldwide reseller network. The promotion enables qualified Cebas customers who can demonstrate ownership of finalRender by providing the product serial number issued at purchase, to buy a Brazil Rendering System “Artist Bundle” at $799.00; a $400.00 savings off the USMSRP of $1200.00.

Why are they just targeting FR and not other renderers for Max as well? And just for a two week period, in March? :surprised
