Title: Dancer (nudity)
Name: Roberto Campus
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop

This is a personal piece. I always wanted to do pin-ups and this is the first of (hopefully) a long series. I had a professional model pose for this illustration.

The mood and colors were in part inspired by a pin-up piece by Greg Hildebrandt.

This was painted entirely in Photoshop, first I created a flat for the shape, then added a Solid Color adjustment layer set on multiply above it and proceeded to shape the volumes as explained in one of my tutorials. This step is all done in B&W so I can make sure the values are correct. Then I added a couple of Curves adjustment layers to add color and the different tones. Lastly, the bg was done using custom brushes.

Enjoy!

Wow, I love the background to this image. The figure is nice. Her hips seem a little narrow compared to the shoulders, but good shading. However, I would love to see a version without the figure. It almost looks like a wet city street with light reflections everywhere. Great color combos too!

first of all, its been pleasure catching up on your recent works... and now this!
your words "this is the first of (hopefully) a long series.." brings me fuzzy feelings to my heart. you got another fan watching here, so take the (hopefully) out of the equation, and lets see more of these beautiful curves and soft renders ^^

Roberto ! At first i thought this was a photo. This is stunning to me. I had heard your name before , many times, but i dont remember where. I am going to start looking for your website and anything i can find. I think you have tutorials you've made? I'm an old man, but very interested in cg art. I think i would like to learn all i can from you. Money is real tight, but i will see what software your using and try to get it. The quality of your work has really made an impression. Any guidance, help and advice would be greatly appreciated. May you live long and well, creating art and inspiring others around the world. Thank you. rick woodward
