character looks cool!! dit you use softbodies for the ears and cheaks? (don't know if I'm writing it correct)

How did you do that exactly. I 'm trying to do the same thing for a character I'm making, but I won't succeed with that kind of animation.

Keep up the good work !!! :applause:

Thanks Conehead!!

Yeah, i used a spline IK on the ears and then made the curve a softbody with the "duplicate, make copy" option turned on and the "make copy goal". So basically, the goal curve moves, and the softbodies follow, which in turn moves the joints.

The cheek was a simple jiggle deformer with some tweeking.

Thanks Deavan...i tried to keep him pretty stylised, although want to play around with the texturing to give an even more stylised look. I'm starting work on animation this week, so hopefully i'll be able to post some more vids.

Wow, it's a really nice model ajsfuxor.

He's got heaps of emotion, you've really used the blend shapes well, very effective. Keep up the sweet work.

Woof woof.

howdy a

you've got some fantastic expression into your dawgie so far - he goes from sad to evil in the filck of an eyebrow! really like the stylised look you went with, it gives him not only a nice simplicity, but great characterization . looking forward to seeing him animated...and to what he ends up doing with that bone!
