awesome stuff poor guy seems liike your little pawn, doesn't quite look like hes flying but rather being pulled up by something, I guess becuase of where is center of gravity is, not sue, but really seems like there is a rope and hook pulling him up and swinging him around rahter than the jet pack propulsing him up. Very funny though and looks great, glad to see some one got a lot oout of that shader concept.

yeah I know what you mean, I don't think I got the feet swaying quite right, this was mainly a test but I might go back and give it a proper go :)

ThirdEye

How did you make the smoke of the jet pack? Visible lights maybe?

ps Kai, it seems we have the same posts number :surprised

LucentDreams

nah I'm two ahead, oh wait no 3 now :)

Funny oyu should mention though, as now four C4D users are in the top 10list, and none of us are moderators. I think this reflects on how active the C4D group is, as well as how active many of us are in other areas of the forums as well.

Four? who's the fourth? you, Per Anders, me and....?

ThirdEye
03-02-2003, 05:12 PM
probably a couple eyebrows would do the job since it's a toon character

LucentDreams
03-02-2003, 05:14 PM

Atleast they talk productively!

That jet animation is great! I wanna make a city scape just for it to fly around through... that'd be great.

It zooms past spiderman and batman along the way...h e he he, okay, I'm going off on an akward tangent now!

LucentDreams

you have a city scape scene on your computer now, ask paul everett for pwrmission to use it maybe, even better ask him how he made it, bet you all he says a couple of seconds is all it took less than a minute :)

talking of how this thread went off on a tangent....is pauls city builder thingy ma jiggy....gonna pull off a wammi and do something like the non textured thing in this thread...cos that is impressive and well TIME consuming to say the least!

or a benedict

for that i heard he used a plugin for the buildings called structure which basically added blocky skins to a surface...gave him that future building look...would like to see a structure thing in citygen as can't seem to find plugin site anymore.

of course these things are nothing without texturing and then some all important TALENT! and voila....bladerunner scene.

anyway i'll get back to dreaming of i'm gonna knock up scenes like that "the the future"!!!!:wip:

Tell you what flingster I'll talk with Paul and his main tester and see If I can post a sample or two of theirs, haven't got to try it out myself, but the many tests I have seen its one of the most impressive citygens quite flexible
