Leshiy3d 02-27-2007, 02:07 PM Hi.
Check out my latest game model. No environment so far, but I hope that I'll make it.
Modeling - XSI, sculpting/detailing - ZBrush.
C&C are welcome, I hope you like it.

Very nice work Leshiy3d.
I'd definitely add some texture detail to the nails (hands/feet) as they seem to have the same texture as the skin. I'd also possibly make some of the specular on the metal stronger.
Very nice clean mesh you've got there.
Keep going.

that helmet just made me laugh my ass off. Great work, but i agree that you could go a bit further with the textures

The skin is awesome, love the concept, very clean mesh, however, the armor, the belts in particular, aren't as well made as the thing inside them, which kind of drags it all down. Put as much time and effort in there as you did the green thing and you'll have an awesome model :D

WOW! I must say, one of my favorite 3d models i have seen, and im not quite sure why! Something about it is very stylish, and i love it!

aforementioned crits aside, I have to say that I absolutely love the inward-pointing toes in the posed shot, and the deer-in-headlights expression. :D

Thanks a lot guys!
mindrot I agree with you, especially about the nails and hands. :hmm:
Now it's time to create some environment. :wip:

Awesome! I agree that the nails should have some color differentiation. The armor doesn't appear to be casting any kind of shadow on the body, which might be partly why it looks so seperate from the body.
*Also like this guy because he looks like my avatar, just meaner :D

Really fun looking characer. I enjoy how his feet are turned in to enhance his goffy-ness and expression of simple pleasent guard of some friendly bunch of little folks that adore him alot *laugh*.
All the crits have been said. Proceed.

Very nice character work. :buttrock:
smallish suggestion..might break the specular up a bit on the scales and skin in general.

Very cool model, nice anatomy. My crit on the armor plates is that they just don't seem heavy enough to me in terms of thickness, especially the head plate. Also the shoulder plate seems loosely strapped on from the back view. Really like the brown tint you gave to the scales.
Great job overall.:)

well I think totally the opposite. It's a very big/strong guy, these plates look real, it's just that the character is too big to have them fit right for him. If it were larger/thicker, it would be a more evil creature, designated to kill or summat. I like how it makes him look a little clumsy. If the armor was bigger/thicker, it would mean there are a lot more of him around, and there are those that either custom make this for him, and they'd have to be strong to handle and craft heavy armor,or it wouldn't be considered heavy armor since it would be common armor or summat.
can't really describe what I mean, maybe this: a heavier armor would make hime more of a common footsoldier than a strong guard. IMO that is...
