View Full Version : Dracula Poster
Dark3D 02-27-2007, 01:20 AM Hello CGTalkers,
I thought I post this and get some constructive criticism. I didn't use any reference which wasn't a good idea after getting far into the project, now I think my Dracula looks kinda ??. My next step is to start adding color, but I thought I would post it here before I start.

Dracula kind looks like he should be saying:
"Um, excuse me? I'm sorry to bother you, is this your vampiric bride?"
Serioulsy lacking passion in the expression. The perspective of the two figures together is a bit wonky, but otherwise it's all good.

Thanks for taking time to reply Killjoy! :)
"Um, excuse me? I'm sorry to bother you, is this your vampiric bride?"
Hehe, he is kinda saying something like that. I was thinking more of the lines of "What have I done again! I loved her! But I couldn't help it! Why?!? Cry, Snif."
I might be able to get more passion with some color I hope.

I start simple with the color, everything so far was done in photoshop, thought about painting color it in artrage, but thought maybe I should do the whole painting in one program this time. Just two colors to start, a complimentary color scheme of Yellow and Blue, might just use those two colors the whole painting, still thinking about it. I often go crazy with to many colors at once, get unhappy and give up painting.

I love her hooker boots but that yellow glow at her crotch is a bit much :-)
Seriously though, I'd work on the figure proportions and perspective before I delved into color - you'll just end up frustrated because it's a lot more difficult to fix those kind of things once you've spend hours on colors and reflections. A good source of reference for costume and poses:
