do you tried in IK or FK? normally this is an IK problem...

Bonjour,
You may take a look at those links:

This explain how to use quaternions in XSI. The normal rotation system is the Euler system, wich sometimes results in gimbal locks. The quaternions are another system, and rotations is calculated differently. Heavy reading, though.

Nice little site. The explanation is more for 3ds max, but general enough to be applicable to XSI.
