Here's some of my best animations so far. If windows media doesn't work straight off, try right-clicking on the link and "save target as."
Old-fashioned Goliath (http://24.43.24.85/msifton/goliathstep8sound1.avi) (6 seconds, 320x240, 3.39 MB)
Medieval fight scene (http://24.43.24.85/msifton/fightscene320x.avi) (38 seconds, 320x240, 3.76 MB)
Terran Firebat (http://24.43.24.85/msifton/warwalktest2sound4.avi) (7 seconds, 640x480, 14 MB)
Everything was done by me except the powerarmor in the last movie. I downloaded and modified/re-textured the marine model from www.artofgaming.net.
I'm another artist who's been hopelessly corrupted by Blizzard and their wicked cut-scenes. And until I came here, I actually thought I had a chance at getting hired at their cinematics dept. I read their application requirements, doesn't sound so hard! I even had the audacity to start making quick movies with Stacraft marines, based on some of the geeky fan-art (http://24.43.24.85/msifton/x_warlord3.jpg) I did back in high school. I almost finished my first demo reel when I finally saw my competition -- Fausto (http://discovirtual.uol.com.br/b_storm/Compartilhada/p_bigSCLow.jpg) for example. Ouch!
But despite my bruised ego, I'm in dire need of critiques from other 3D artists. I've been working with an obselete version of Max for 1 year now, and it's been very slow trying to learn character studio. I still haven't figured out how to get a 5-fingered hand working in Physique.
