Here's my latest work, the new concept that Ford built for 2005, coupe version. It's a low poly model meant for real time games, the final polycount is around 6100. In these renders the mirrors aren't modeled, that's just a personal choice ;) The final in-game model has them. Ok, no more read, check out the renders:

That's 3DSmax 5 with Brazil 1.03 r/s, using a 512x512 map for the whole car. Here are a couple more:

Just looking for some constructive critism, something not found on gaming forums these days... feel free to post any comments or suggestions about it.

I'm looking at certain parts thinking maybe that should be smoother etc etc but its for a game so :shrug:

hmmmm.... maybe some racing stripes?

The Taillights looks strange, to high?

Another point is that polycount. Well, 6k for a current, or even two year old game is very low.
Why not go higher to make the car more smooth.
Okay I don't know the game and your target system...

Why not go higher with the polys? I'm going to take a guess and say it is because that won't be the only car in the scene.

hey, thanks for the comments. I know it could be smoother, but it's aimed for GTA3 in the first place, might be converted for other games as well.

I'm thinking of making a render version out of it, with more details and accuracy, better materials, but I got to take care of other projects first ;)

Daniel: taillights too high? maybe, they could use some adjustements, but they're like that just to save some polygons... also consider that I don't have blueprints for the car, is all made up with reference pictures and a side tracing image.
