Hi everybody,

for rebuilding my house i set it up in 3DMax. The strukture is already finished, so i went to get a view of the single rooms by placing a free camera into the (i hope) right places.

But like other pics, seen in different forums, the rendered Pic let seem the room streched a little into the far. I wondered about that and played a little with the focus-setting and set the pictureframe to panavision. But nothing of theses looking well.

I just want to get a normal view, like I see it with my own eyes.

Can anyone help me?

PS: The roommeasure: 3.4m wide, 4.5m depth, 2.4m high...

I really don't know what you're trying to achieve. No attachment, no picture.

What do you mean ?

There's no way you can set a 3d camera to how your eyes see things around. Why don't you play with the zoom / focal length. Set your resolution correctly, try out with 800x600 with square pixels aspect ratio.

Lastly, maybe you should post it inside 3dsmax forum.

Okay, here we are. I had tested some of the entries for the camera...

but I can't get the right value for the wanted looking. If I change the value to the low, the room don't fit in the camera-window.
If I change the value to a high value, the room will be streched into the depth.
The right value seems to be beneath the possible lowest value, but if i do this, the room runs out of the window. For usual, I take a 35 mm camera (in reality) to take pictures of a room. And in the most situations i get a real look of that room. But if I take a 35mm camera in 3DMax (or any other) it won't be the right choice at all (see pic 5).

What can I do to get the real values for a room with real looking proportions ?
