hey everyone,

im working on my first car model and i have run into some problems with the little air dam vents on the front bumper. I managed to get the hole without affecting the surrounding geo. now i need to create the nice trail that leads to the vent. I've seen tons of gorgeous car models on here so im hoping i can get some tips.

You should look at the following thread about pinching and smoothing. It is an excellent reference. More than 5 edges going into a single vertex is always going to cause pinching when you smooth.
