XSI's hair system is just Joe Alter's Shave and a Haircut with a few new features and stuff. It's the same basic thing that first was first seen in Lightwave.
It's about time Sasquatch gots some hair styling tools. They look nice. :-)

That's the most encouraging thing I've seen for Sas.
Dang-gone-it, man, I see my Shave dongle disintigrating slowly...

From what i saw in those avis, this is not a new hair plugin, but a plugin to make Splines guides for Sas, is it not?
Looks real cool :buttrock:

that's right,a spline generator of sorts...it looks like it sprays splines along an axis, kind of handy for working in perspective viewport
wish it was shown on a real head though, rather than on a cube and a couple of potatoes :(

LNT,
Go back and look at avi3, I believe.
A small beard, eyelashes and long hair were applied to a head mesh.
As close as they've gotten to the styling power of Shave.

Actually a very easy way to create hair guides for Sas is to use small groups of points while in a background layer you have 2-4 splines. Use those to railextrude your points. Its an easy way to come up with various styles. Heres a quickie example

LOL, Thanks.
I used to use this trick WAY back when there was no hair anything and this was a way to get some kind of hair looking stuff going.

Its funy because you dont need many rails to do this.
You can also pick groups of single point polys and rail extrude those to style the hair. The method I posted can be used to get a base hair layer and then the style layer can be added on top.
