How to create CD-like material?

yes, that's what the shader is made for
but I found it extremely hard to set up in order to achieve a nice effect.
It depends very much on the light settings as well.
If someone has found decent settings please let me know :thumbsup:

That looks like a writable DVD, not a CD.

Writable CDs look blueish-green, while the DVD/Rs are a purpleish color. A stampted CD is mostly without any color cast.

The new book "Cinema 4D 10 Workshop" by Arndt von Koenigsmarck has a section on materials creation and mapping that uses a recordable CD as the subject matter. I don't have it here to give you exact chanel info though. I left it at the office.
I will say that the book is very good though.

Sucj a pity, i can't buy this book here in Russia, there're bery few literature 'bout cinema here =(
