Hey All,

Can anyone tell me how I would go about changing the color scheme of the Lightwave interface, both modeler and Layout?

I've seen several screen grabs where people have changed the colors....very kewl.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

But is there some way to do it that doesn't require buying software?

just search the LW forum for color or interface colors and you should find something..

I know there are users in the forum that have done this, maybe one of them thar peoeple can pass some info.

Thanks everyone,

If you don't want to download any plugins or anything, you can just edit your LWHUB.cfg.

Insert this text between the "SaveClientIndex" and the "DialogCenter" lines....

ToolButtonColor 127 127 130
StateButtonColor 127 130 127
ActionButtonColor 130 127 130
DialogButtonColor 127 127 127
DragButtonColor 127 130 127
BackgroundColor 110 110 110
InfoAreaColor 110 110 110
InfoAreaTextColor 0 0 0

Change the colors to taste. These are just what I use because it's easy on the eyes. Nice and dark. :)

actually, afaik, it doesn't matter where you put it in the lwhub.cfg

How would I do this on the Mac?

I don't believe there is a .cfg file

Thanks.

Jay, in my preference folder there is only one cfg file. There are preference files for Modeler, Layout, and the Hub. I'm using OSX on this machine...would that make a difference?

the HUB preference file. open it in a notepad, text editor (forgot what it is called in OSX) and edit as explained by others.

Make a copy of the preference file before you edit it incase edit doesn't work.

I'll expore further when I get home and sit down infront of it.

Get version 1.1 of ExpertColor. Its freeware.

Thanks AnimaLMotheR,

But the guy only has a link to version 2 of Expert Color, I can't get ver. 1.

No worries though, I used the LWHUB.cfg method, and that worked fine.

Thanks for everyones help. As always, you ROCK!

The link to version 1.1 was under the links for version 2. ;)

Here is the direct link (http://www.valecchi.it/e-exc-.asp) to the 1.1 site. The actual download link is at the bottom of the page.
