View Full Version : Quad Core Threading
dwu2010 02-19-2007, 02:31 AM I'm in architecture, and I have a Dell Precision Quad Core desktop. When I render in Rhino using VRay, I noticed that it is using all four cores to render (setting up 4 threads). Is there a way to control it so that VRay (or Rhino, or the Hardware) only uses 2 or 3 cores while rendering, so that I can work on other applications at the same time?
thanks

One way to do it is to open TaskManager, right-click on the Rhino process, select "Set Affinity..." and then check the CPUs that you want to be engaged in the rendering.
Best regards,
