Hi All!
I have some modeling underway, but I wanted to start my thread with some sketches.
Hope my link works!:(

Looking forward to seeing your model. :)
Well, here's link to an updated site. Feel free to rip up Bungal - my pirate!:D
It is very much still a work in progress, but he is in progress nevertheless.

Hey, you're using A:M - great!
good work so far. Not much to say since its still an early WIP. Post a wireframe sometime so we can admire your splinmanship :)
Yes! HashA:M rocks! I absolutely hated it at first, but I bought the training tapes and studied the great A:M users (lots of tutorials). I really love this app, now! Especially, after realizing that it was my computer and not the program itself that caused crashes.
I also use Maya and EI, but Hash can do much of the same things. I was debating whether to up my wireframes, but now I will. It is still too dense for me. I really like how well and efficient the Eggington and Anzovin models are. Great Stuff!:D
The wires will be up in the next couple of days!
thanks -h
OK, another sketch. I always sketch before I work on 3D models, but I think I'll paint this one if I have enough time.

Cool! :)
The only thing I could say is the small ear/wings could be perfected still. I mean, maybe they could have more defined bases, as they are a little loose right now.
Anyway, he seems like a very simpathetic alien pirate, and I canīt wait to see your model ready!
I know the deadline is up, but I still updated my pirate site. Here are some of the images. This was fun, and it is far from over for me. I wanna animate this guy! I also wrote a little poem for the challenge. It's after the images. Hope you guys like it.

An Ode to The Pirate Pascal
From distant stars
On moonbeams he rode
One February 1st
Appeared a pirate - a rogue
A virtual unknown
In stories he lived
to be brought into light
Scores of artist will give...
A depiction of sorts
A description supreme
Through the eyes of these creators
Our pirate will gleam
An alien of men
He has little girth
Slender and tall
Soon the web brings his birth
Not a baby is he
But a man who is passive
Kind natured is he
With hands and feet that are massive
What's in his hand?
Can't tell, it's too soon
Is it his swashbuckling sword
Or is it merely a spoon
He's a pirate indeed
Take a look - there's no doubt
From his head to his toes
A true space-pirate throughout
Could he have wings
Sure! But that tail's not a trick
Don't know what was cut off
But something's prosthetic
At the stroke of Twelve
This February eve
Will arrive this figure
From creativity conceived
The visions of a few
Enjoyed by all
Through this challenge we welcome...
The Pirate Pascal
