View Full Version : A Quick Question
Dann-O 02-17-2007, 10:03 AM Ok Sorry to bother you guys but I have a model that is rigged and deforms pretty good. I want to be able to save the skeleton so I can model a variation of the model and attach the skeleton. Is ther ean easy way to do this I looked through the docs quick but did nto find it and I am certain there is a way.

First route, for saving entire or parts of setups: In setup, add all the things you want to save to a group. Hit activate setup saving and make a nice snapshot of the rig, save the group as a setup.
When you want to load it in to a new object, hit F5 in setup mode to bring up the list of setups you have saved. Double click it. Adjust the items to perfection and make sure the bone deform effect is affecting the right objects in the effects tab by adding it.
A different route, for adding a new version of the model: Load the new object into the scene with the rig and add the object to the bone deform effect.

Cool I will try those I have a centaur that deforms nice and want to make some variations on the theme. I did not find what I needed in the docs. Thanks still a newbie but enjoying the software the rendering and rigging are fun new tools for me.
