All right! just starting to put my foot into the online 3D community, so forgive my n00b-ness

so here goes...


starting up with some concept art. I'm thinking of calling him "Dolmanos the Hexi-dextrous" a wise sharpshooter with sharp wits, tongue, and relfexes.

He uses all six of his hands, also using them like feet to walk around on all six, with his 4 front feet being on a smaller scale compared to his back legs (kinda stegasaurus-ish). this allows him to be able to rely on his back arms as feet when he needs to use his 4 front hands to work with stuff.

He moves around with a flight pack which has mechanisms making it look like a pair of insect wings.

i have already been giving the suggestion of reducing how much fur he has, and turning his whiskers into a full on beard.

Wow, I really like the concept of this guy. It reminds me alot of a praying mantis, makes me feel like it should almost have more of a budhist monk feel. Is he only a sniper, or does he also have some close combat skills? I can't wait to see where this goes. Good luck!

I was thinking that he was more of a frail type, making up his low physical power with speed, wits and precise aiming.

if anyone were to get close, dolmanos would throw some smoke bomb or flash grenade and fly away, firing upon the confused attacker.


as for the budhist monk look, i'll have to experiment with that. i might get some interesting results.

i was also given the idea of making his rear legs holding a specialized bladed shoe, allowing his feet to act like the pincers of a praying mantis.

well, here is an update.

not much changed, just some minor detailing. still kinda getting the feel of the character.

so, unless someone really thinks this stinks, i think im gonna start modeling, at least just to block out the shapes (gah im so slow!)

not much to critique on, being that there is so little done, but if there is any critique, its still welcome.
