I think the center rock could have been a bit more interesting, but thats just nit-picking.

nice colors, and mood, composition is a little bit forced to the biggest rock , more than the flying ship,
I would have done some different alien rock formations to make it look more interesting , more original concept

nice, I like it a lot, and I think it is better without the flying ship, also the new rock formations look very interesting, nice mood and great execution

It's seem Good!
But...
The ship is seem to leave this Rocky Scene...not really like "The Return"...Is it your design?

Yes, I agree. I would like to see the ship landing on the beach or perhaps on a landing pod on one of the rocks. I also have the feeling that the ship is departing.. not returning.
Otherwise I like it. :)
