It looks like the message that you are trying to get across is that Big industries are destroying nature. It looks like there is lava in the middle and it is that that is killing the plants. So nature is killing nature. Just a thought.

make the red a green sludge that flows out the the plants and fills that lake, and the lake is not scummy enough, and more pollution in the sky you want like almost no sunlight just maybe a crack of it showing how its totaly blocking out the sun. (and that its not night)
