Which version from Messiah do I get to help animate in LW? I saw that they have a $300 version - which fits nicely into my wallet!

Thanks

Hi Koon69,

Out of the box, lightwave has great tools to animate a character, but saying that I own Messiah 1.5.7 which is what you are referring to. It is really quick to rig bones and animate. You don't even have to worry about weightmaps too much. I used it to rig and quickly animate my character which took only 15 minutes for a quick short animation:

Its a great tool!

Project messiah or messiah animate....or even Messiah studio could work for a LW user......all great apps!

I am a bit dense. Can U explain in a word or two the main differences of Project messiah - messiah animate and Messiah studio and how they work with LW?

Thanks

Hi Koon69,

1. Messiah 1.5 is a plugin and must operate within LW

2. Messiah Animate is the same as 1.5 but has more improvements and is a standalone application and doesn't need to be launched from within LW

3. Messiah Studio is a suite of programs that include Animate, Render. See this link:

Hope this helps

Ive had Messiah 1.5 since it was first released. I havent used it in a very long time since Lightwave already does most of what I need for character work.

Messiah Studio is pretty cool.
Messiah Studio and Wings3D would really be an alternative to Lightwave.
Some of those renders are prety awesome.
