View Full Version : Where to find Image Planes for cars
TDP40oz 02-14-2007, 07:45 PM I am currently learning how to model realistic cars in Maya. I understand that I need to use image planes, but if a client wants a certain car, where do I find those exact orthographic views of the top, side front etc. for that car in order to make my image planes?

I go to www.suurland.com (http://www.suurland.com/) to get vehicle blurprints. Theres tons of different car types and vehicle types.
If what you need isnt there you can always google "car name" modelsheet or blueprints

Wow thanks swarm22 that's a great site for future reference.
But the car i'm looking for isn't there. I need a 2000-2005 chevrolet corvette. I even tried google and I can't find and great orthographic views. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Try http://www.smcars.net/
Do not rely on blueprints only, they are often not very exactly, be sure to get lots of photo references.
