Here is my concept, some of it may look too robotic, but i´m gonna make it more organic. It is like an ancient skull inside a suit of armor, his weapon is somekind of big shotgun with a big knife on it.

I really like your initial designs. I agree you may want to add some more organic elements or emphize the look that its a suit being worn, like you have in the arms, to take away the robotic look. But otherwise a great start, can't wait to see more.

Nice concept and good idea :)

You realise you can only have 20% robotic...

I love the centre concept you have, great proportions. May look cool with some big hands too... cant wait to see whre you take this spaniard.

Windigo: thanx man, i agree with the organic stuff, i did some retouches on the design
JPons: Hey! glad to see you here too, thanx for the nice words!
Airflow: Yes i know, as i said in my first post
Scotcho: Thanx man, Yeah i´m going for the center concept, and i like the idea on the hands!
OK, here is a last concept, i´m gonna start modeling now.

Here is an update, i have the proportions and the base mesh almost done, but i´m still working on the head, i dont know yet if is going to be a skull or an old man´s face..... i also have to work on the weapon, is going a little slow, but consistent ;)

sweet legs Alvaro. I prefer the slimmer shoulder width like how it looks in your last concept, as well as those circular pivot points you have; not sure if you plan to normal map these, but looks like you have polys to spare to model them. I also really like the bulbus skull helm... maybe keep that and have the old head chin showing beneith it?

i'd find somethign which could have some expression - just the way his body is shaped i can see a silent and somber sort of hero.

Thanx guys, very helpfull replies.
Adam, yeah man! i think i´m going for your head idea, it kind of put both ideas i had in mind together, for sure; also the circular pivots, i´m going to model them but i havent done it yet :)thanx
Quickel, thats some cool background for the character, some sinister hero-antihero

a little update

cool concept and a great start man, ill be watching this.

MAKE THE SKULL ONE! :P
Dude, this character can look brutal! I just love it!
I just dont know if i like the weapon, a big sword its always cool but its very "tipical" and your character is quite "exotique"
Can wait to see more!

Thanx guys for the replies!
here is an update of the high res model, i started the armour.

That's a sweet concept you've chosen  Looking forward to what you make of it :D

great progress so far,
i have to agree with JPons about the sword, it's cool, but there's gonna be a lot of guys with big swords (i can't believe i just said that...) in this comp. what if he was dragging around the top half (cannon) of a tank? like a massive gun and club? just a thought
also, there's something about the very first concept image of his head, he's got this really endearing look about him, kinda like the cave troll in Fellowship where, yeah he's a giant monster and he's trying to club you to death, but you'd feel bad if something happened to him, y'know?
just my thoughts

hey! I really dig this concept and model so far! the line drawing of him with the sword is great! keep it up!
03-01-2007, 12:33 PM
Hey thanks guys!
ScudzAlmighty: Thanx for the tips man, hehehe, yes i´m also thinking about changing the sword, instead i´m gonna make a big kind of shotgun.
EvilBlah: thanks man!
Intervain: Hey Magda good to see you! thanx
Here is another little update, now i´m gonna start sculpting and experimenting with the normals
I like it. A big "knifeshotgun" it's cool idea
keep going
