Update 3-4-07

Work has been keeping me busy, but I am trying to scrape together some time to work on this.

Update 2-20-07:
Finally had some time to refine my concept a little. I changed up the mask to try and remove any impression of emotion, makes for a more spider like appearance which I kinda like.

I sort of finalized the body design, I like where its going, still working on the feet tho. I'm going to start modeling later today, any other changes I decide to make will have to be done after that. Anyways here it is:

Late start here, but thought I would throw my hat into the ring. I've never been much of concept artist so it took me sometime to come up with an intial design that I am somewhat happy with. Here is my first preview.

Just posting some quick mask sketches. I don't think the humanistic face is working to well for the headdress so here some more bird like and animal approaches. I'll probably do some more of these a little later as these were kind of rushed.

I really like the mask on the bottom left. It is so emotionless... creepy...

Hey thanks for the feedback Frostics, I'm gonna work on full redraw later to flush the entire character out before I begin modeling. Best to explore all my options at this stage before delving in to deep. Thanks again. :thumbsup:

i agree with the bottom left mask... emotionless... scary. adds to the "ancient" theme.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the feedback Heavyness, I hope my newest design conveys the "emotionless" appearance even more.

Work has kept me pretty busy with business trips and a heavy deadline the last couple weeks, but yeah I have started modeling just not sure if I will have the time to finish, but I am going to try. :)
