hi,

I'm working on an alien like being. Now I'm busy with the blendshapes for the head. But there is a problem :( The blend shapes work well. The morph works perfect. So the problem of the mirorred half faces I don't have somehow :0 But the baes object of the head, the head which have to change to the other faces moves tot the targetheads. the blendng goes well. but it's not pleasant when your head is moving all over you world.

i've tried a lot off things like all the different blendshape create modes, deletibng history etc etc. So i don't know what to do now.

i don't have the time to recreate the whole head or texturemap. (i do have for remaking the blendshape heads)

Does anyone have an idea to fix the problem?

Thanks

(sorry for my english)

The key is not to delete your history..

do the following:

create your neutral shape. Delete the history. now duplicate the neutral shape. Tweak this new shape to a new desired shape (DO NOT DELETE THE HISTORY) Create blendshape.

That should do it

Oh.. you also can't mirror your face.. so if you are creating a right side, you'll have to do it manually for the left side.

There is a script that will let you do this.. I don't remember the name.. but you can find it in Highend3D

Good luck

Thanks! it works now :)

The mistake I made was attaching a surface onto teh shapes of the seperate heads. All heads the same shape. So the vertexnumbers were the same and the polygoncount also. So I expected it would work. But it wouldnt work right. Now i;ve attached the surface before i copied the head. So the copied and later deformed heads already have atatched the surface. Now it works.

thanks !
