teh fury 02-26-2003, 06:03 PM I've been able to only add one sound into the scene using the trackview>sound. Could someone tell me how to add more sounds and change their "location" in the scene and maybe how to add a background music.. thanks alot

You can't.
You get one sound-track you can add, and that's it.
Boomer Labs (http://www.boomerlabs.com) (at least one employee of that place listens in on this forum, so hi to him when he reads this :)) makes what looks like a terrific soundplugin that has, from what I can see, "sound objects". Meaning you can get it to spit out proper surroundsound based on where the sources are coming from and whatnot. Check out their webpage for details.
But that costs money, and until then you're stuck with the one sound-track, having to do the sound-stuff in post. Which really isn't all that bad really. Sort of. -ish.
(oh, er, again with Boomer Labs, they released a tiny sound-plugin once that allows you to load up several tracks. I'd think scriptspot.com or maxplugins.de has them, and likely Boomer's homepage as well. Lemme know if you can't find it though, I'll have a look around)

Hey All,
Matt from Boomer Labs here. Hey "fury", I'm glad that you like Sound Trax.
Gaggle - Yeah, you're thinking of our award winning Foley Studio. You should stop by and check out our new product - Sound Trax. A multi-track audio editor directly in MAX.
Thanks for the support guys, and keep the word about Boomer Labs flowing!
Cheers!

Oh, er, for the record: fury, I can't the plugin either. I think it was called EnhancedSound or something like that, and was selectable from within MAX's preferences under the Sound tab. Boomer Lab's website mentions it (on their Freeware page), but also maybe says it's now outdated, so.. well I don't know :)

Hey Gaggle,
Yeah, Enhanced Sound is no longer available. It offered mostly bug fixes to Max's default Sound Object, but it never supported multiple audio tracks.
