-*also try to discribe his function, and maybe multiple functionality's*
**plugins**
-*first,say if its free or not*
-*second ,discribe it well.. and maybe some extra info..about stuff you noticed , bugs etc*
TRY TO KEEP YOUR POST SHORT AND ONLY INFORMATIONAL,NOT LONG AS THIS ONE:)

I'd like to promote Chuggnut's tools (scripts) that i find most usefull, especially the unwrap tools:

Any such list would be entirely incomplete without the inclusion of the good works of Bobo!

I also think Herman Saksono's scripts are pretty useful.

There's some great stuff on Martijn Van Herk's site as well.

http://www.maya3d.dk/Scripts/MJPolyTools/ - great poly tools from Mikkel Jans
http://www.snotmonster.com/ - edgemap among others, don't know the guy's name.
LFShade's site is in his signature - good tools too, like Cleancut.

i recommend the free "uzife lasso" plugin by (Yaei Ito / Volition Inc.)
This is a really useful utility that expands on the MAX Lasso selection tool. With Uzife you can draw freehand selections, or use your mouse like a marker pen to highlight your selection.
the plugin can be found here

I'd like to recommend Peter Watje's plugins for particle control and manipulations.

I recommend the plug-in psd-manager (http://www.cebas.com/products/products.asp?UD=10-7888-33-788&PID=38) (150$) for all Photoshop users.
It is a PSD exporter that allows you to modify your rendered images with incredible ease of use and saves you a lot of time.
Features:
- exports antialiased masks for objects and materials (nomore additional rendering passes !)
- exports layers for objects and materials
- exports render elements as layers (sorted with proper blendig modes)
- exports G-Buffer channels
psd-manager website (http://www.cebas.com/products/products.asp?UD=10-7888-33-788&PID=38) with lots of info about it.

@ BrandonD
Good plugins, but now this funtionality is built into MAX 5.
the version which comes with max 5 is like the photoshop lasso.
but uzife is like a paintbrush. you can paint your selections with a resizeable brush. give it a try and you will see how comfortable it is. even in max5
http://homepages.img.fh-mainz.de/~proteus/images/wip_images/uzife_screenshot.gif
the brush is by default on the right mousebutton. if you hold the right mousebutton and move around you activate the brush. if you only click the right mouse button your quadsmenu will appear as usual.
