Hey guys,
Well im back in California from my 3 month stay in Tampa, Florida. I was there working as a caricature artist at Busch gardens 7 days a week so my animation kind of was put on hold. I am Now back in school and in the groov of things. I plan on updating this blog with updates of my classwork at LEAST once a week. So PLease feel free to ask me anything, crit, and just help me in any way. I want to learn as much as possible from you guys because sometimes I feel that my teacher is not enough.

For our first assignment in class we had to do a character walk cycle. I chose to do my walk like Jessica Rabbit. (when she is on stage in the movie "Roger Rabbit" ) The model my teacher gave us was a very simple model so i feel like i was limited a bit but i tried my best. I was having major difficulty with the arms and getting them to stay in place on the hips, if someone has any suggestions about them that would be great.
Below are the links to the front side, and 3/4, playblasts of my walk.

Our next assignment was a run with the same model. Again it was A cycle. THis one did not go as well. I am still trying to fix this one so that i would be able to put it on a reel.
Below are the links to the front side, and 3/4, playblasts of my run. This is just a generic run, but he is running pretty fast.

Well its not leting me play blast these at the current time, Ill update and post the run cycle tomorrow.

The current project we are working on is a run to stop. This was a pretty fun assignmetn. I shot reference of myself running and jumping to a stop. So then I did analyzed my actions and then did thumnails. After that I began aniimating in maya. For this assignment my teacher gave us a newer model. This one was SO much easier to work with. I feel like this is coming along alright but would like some help as far as what might need to be worked on. Below are the links to the front side, and 3/4, playblasts of my run.

When you view these you may need to switch the VIEW SIZE to 640 so that you dont get any of it cut off .

well i was in Class today and my tacher gave me some more input on my blocking of my run to stop. She was satified with the run after i fixed the side to side of it. Then we began fixing the timing of the stop and settle. By adding a few frames from the anticipation to the settle and subtracting some from the down, just before we come up it helped a bit. I will post more after i get off work .. hehe
Thanks

Hey guys this is an up date on my run to stop. I have changed the overshoot pose to fit more and also reverse my curve. Then I also fixed some timing issues to make it hit a bit more.
Here is the link to the version.

Hey you guys, Im still working on the run to stop, but my teacher also gave us another assignment in the mean time.

It is a Man lifting a barbell.

It would be great if someone could give me some feedback with this one. I really want the weight ot be felt. I think my timing is pretty close, but probably needs some adjusting.
Thanks Fabian
Here is the blocking-----

hey nice weighting lifting animation! I weight is really there! The only problem I see is the pauses in between seem a bit long. It seems that you should speed them up a bit, so that the animation will flow better.
