I have a simple party light scene with random lights hanging from a wire. How can I add different colors of light to the whole clable system?

Thanks

There's a coupel of ways of doing this, what i did was simply move the light up to teh top of the hierarchy (so it's jsutantoehr child of the cloner obejct) then set the cloners "Clones" mode to "Cluster" and turned off "Fix Clone" (then moved the light and tube down to 0 so that they're back where they should be). The result is that the random effector can now affect the lights color (or another effector if you want).

A second way would be to create a new cloner object, put it into the "Sphere" then put the light as a child of that, then turn off "Fix Clones" on that cloner, and apply an effector to that to affect it's color.

Thanks for the help. But how can I do this with the bulbs that have different colors and glow.

With the bulbs you do the same thing and use the mograph color shader in their material to contorl their color.

Seems to work great thanks again, but there is no way to be able to specyvy the color range?

The color range is specified by the values you use in whatever effector you're using to control the color with, e.g. in the random effector by modifying the min/max settings, in a shader effector by the shader used and so on, and of course you can define the specific color yourself in the effector, and of course you can also control it by putting the mograph color shader inside of a colorizer.
