Not a bad idea... Im gona do some sketches and see how they look.

The idea behind this character btw, is that he is an ancient slave driver. Ive recently named him Opoth.
From the depths of the jungle he has awaken to take those who disturbed his slumber and make them his captives for the rest of their personal eternity.

And again please everyone, give me your imput: positive and negative.

I think your character is off to a good start. He's got a good strong muscular feel that one would think a slave driver or one hunting for slaves would have. Right now my only critique would be on his form of weaponry. When you explained your character more you mentioned that he is a slave driver, and out to capture more... but the weapons you have make him look like he's out to slaughter hundreds not capture them. I would think he would be equiped with more tools on capturing then killing. He should have shackles hanging from his belt, maybe a net in his hands, and tools for building traps so he can lure hundreds of future slaves into captivity.

Just a couple of ideas, hope they help :)

I absolutley agree...
Im gona work up some shackles into his gear and maybe some bolas.
Possibly a big shovel for digging tiger pits.....

I did a bit of sculpting last night for an hour or so and came up with this. I may begin allover again, with the whole body to sculpt this next time. I did this head from just a box and was mainly just trying out mudbox (just got the program about a week ago). I went ahead and threw a light or two in the scene and did a quick render. I think this overall is goin in the right direction.

PLEASE C&C

looks cool! i think i preferred the more anthropomorphised look in your sketches but the tirceratopsy/dinosaur look definitely works for me as 'ancient'!

keep it up!
